Ready to print & cut
Print settings / Configuración de impresión
Paper / Papel: 160–200 gsm cardstock for cards · 80–100 gsm for the accordion booklet and recording sheet. Standard printer paper works too — just feels lighter.
Colour / Color: Print cards and poster in colour · Recording sheet and research cards in B&W to save ink.
Size / Tamaño: Select Fit to page or Actual size — never Shrink to fit, as this may cut off edges.
Orientation / Orientación: Cards → portrait · Accordion booklet → landscape.
Quality / Calidad: Select Best or High quality for cards · Normal for B&W pages.
Double-sided / Doble cara: Not required for any activity in this bundle.
Cutting tips / Tips de corte
A paper trimmer / guillotina gives the cleanest result and saves significant time with large sets.
Cut along the outer dotted line — the white border is part of the card design.
For the most durable cards, laminate before cutting — this also makes them wipe-clean for classroom use.
Pro tip: Print one page first as a test before printing the full set. This saves paper and ink if you need to adjust settings.

Every card in this bundle is designed to be printed at home and ready to use in minutes. No laminator required, no special equipment — just your printer, a pair of scissors or a paper trimmer, and a little time. These cards were made by hand, just like the ones in your classroom deserve to be.

Montessori: Guides & Articles
What will I find on your cards?
Every card features a real, high-quality photograph — never clipart or illustrations. Each Nomenclature Card set follows the classic Montessori three-part design: a control card (image + name), a picture card (image only), and a label card (name only). All our materials are fully bilingual, with English and Spanish appearing together from the very first line, never translated as an afterthought.
What's the difference between Nomenclature Cards, Flash Cards, and Nomenclature Cards with descriptions?
These are three different formats, each suited to a different stage of learning:
Nomenclature Cards are the classic Montessori three-part set: a control card (image + name), a picture card (image only), and a label card (name only). The child matches them independently and self-corrects using the control card — perfect for the three-period lesson.
Flash Cards show the image with the name in both languages directly on the same card. They're quicker to use and ideal for circle time, vocabulary review, or taking home for extra practice.
Nomenclature Cards with Descriptions (Fact Cards) add a full bilingual description to each item, along with a "blind" version where the name is removed — so the child can identify the subject from the description alone. This format extends the material from Primary vocabulary work into genuine Elementary reading and reasoning.
What size are the cards?
Our standard Nomenclature Cards measure 9.2 cm × 13.5 cm (W × H). Flash Cards and other formats may vary slightly depending on the product — the exact size is always listed in the product description. All files are formatted for both A4 and US Letter paper.
Do I need special paper or a laminator?
No special equipment is required. We recommend printing on 160–200 gsm cardstock for cards (or standard printer paper if cardstock isn't available), and 80–100 gsm paper for booklets and recording sheets. Laminating is optional but recommended for cards that will be used frequently in a classroom setting, as it makes them more durable and easy to clean.
What does the colour-coding mean on some sets?
In several of our Geography sets (such as flags), you'll see a colour-coded border or background. This follows the Montessori convention of using colour to group related materials by subject or continent on the shelf — for example, all flag sets sharing one colour family, separate from animal or landmark sets. It's purely a visual organisational system, not tied to any specific meaning beyond grouping.
Can I share or resell these materials?
All our resources are licensed for single classroom or single household use only. This means:
✅ You may print and use the materials as many times as you like within your own classroom or home
❌ You may not redistribute, share, resell, edit, or repost any part of the file — including with colleagues, on file-sharing platforms, or on social media
👥 If a colleague or fellow guide would like their own copy, additional licences are available at a reduced price — just get in touch
Every purchase supports the ongoing creation of new bilingual Montessori materials. Thank you for respecting these terms.
I don't have a printer at home — can I still use these?
Yes. Many of our customers send the PDF to a local print shop or office supply store (such a local copy shop) for printing, especially for larger sets. Just request colour printing on cardstock if available.
Do your materials work in classrooms that aren't bilingual?
Yes. While every card includes both English and Spanish, guides and families using only one language can simply focus on the language they need — the bilingual design never gets in the way of single-language use. Many of our customers in fully English-speaking or fully Spanish-speaking classrooms use our materials specifically because the photography and Montessori structure are of higher quality than what they find elsewhere.
What if I have a question that isn't answered here?
